Webflow’s 2025 Pricing Update: Transforming the Website Experience Platform

Webflow’s 2025 Pricing Update: Transforming the Website Experience Platform

Webflow has recently announced updates to its pricing and product strategies, taking steps toward establishing itself as a comprehensive Website Experience Platform (WXP). At Webflower, we’ve reviewed these changes to help you understand how they might impact your projects and workflows. Here’s a breakdown of what’s coming.

1. New Workspace Seat Types for Flexibility

One of the key updates is the introduction of three new seat types: Full, Limited, and Free. With this change, Webflow removes user limits from Workspace plans, allowing teams to scale without worrying about restrictions. At least one Full seat is included in every Workspace plan, with additional seats customizable to fit your team’s roles.

Key Dates:

Starting January 29, 2025, existing paid Workspaces will begin transitioning to this new structure. If you’re already on a Workspace plan, you can lock in your current pricing by switching to an annual contract before this date.

2. Improved Workspace and Site Plans

Webflow has reassigned features across its Workspace and Site plans to align more closely with different user needs. Here are the highlights:

Workspace Plans:

  • Page limits per staged site increased from 150 to 300.
  • 301 redirects added to Growth and Agency plans, making site staging more powerful.
  • Freelancer and Core plans now focus on solo users or small teams, while Growth and Agency plans offer advanced collaboration tools like Site-Specific Access (SSA).

Site Plans:

  • Unlimited form submissions are now included in all paid Site plans.
  • Business plans gain new file management capabilities for .well-known files, expanding flexibility for advanced users.

3. Transition from Legacy Editor to Edit Mode

Webflow is retiring the Legacy Editor and moving all content editing to Edit Mode, a more integrated and intuitive experience. To make this transition easier for users:

  • Client Seats will be introduced for Freelancer and Agency Workspaces, giving clients secure, limited access to their specific sites.
  • Legacy Editor users will be transitioned to limited or client seats by the end of 2025. Webflow plans to provide extensive support and resources to ensure a smooth migration.

4. Phasing Out Logic and User Accounts

As part of its shift toward focusing on core web-building capabilities, Webflow is discontinuing native Logic (June 27, 2025) and User Accounts (January 29, 2026). Instead, they are recommending third-party tools like Zapier, Make, Outseta, and Memberstack for workflow automation and user management needs.

What Does This Mean for You?

Webflow’s updates aim to make the platform more flexible and scalable for teams and agencies. For users, it’s important to review these changes and assess how they align with your current and future projects.
